We ate the meal really quickly.

They ate the whole cake.

I ate a sandwich on the train.

Present Perfect

We’ve already eaten some breakfast.

They’ve just eaten some vegetables.

I haven’t eaten my lunch yet.

Present Simple

We usually eat dinner at 1.30 pm.

Do they eat meat?

He eats the same lunch every day.

Past Perfect

When we arrived they’d already eaten all the chocolate.

She hadn’t eaten the pasta, it was still in the cupboard.

I’d eaten some breakfast before I left the house.
