A long night

Many British people are feeling sleepy today as they stayed up all night to find out the results of the election to choose the new government. Voting stopped all over the country at 10 pm and the counting started immediately. The first results arrived after just a few hours and they continued all through the night. It became clear very soon that things were not as predicted and the Conservative Party was much more successful than expected.

David Cameron, the current Prime Minister looks set to continue and he will soon go to Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen. Many well-known and respected politicians have lost their jobs and everyone agrees that it was a night of big surprises. Apparently 66% of the population voted this year.
