England’s Happiest City

A soft drinks company has carried out a survey to find which city in Britain is the happiest place for children to grow up in. They looked at things such as the number of parks and green spaces, the safety of the roads and whether most houses have a garden for children to play in. Having a beach only a short drive a way was also considered helpful.

The result of the survey is that Norwich, in the east of England, was the winner. Norwich is surrounded by beautiful countryside, has good access to some charming coastal towns and villages and also has good schools. The only thing that children might find disappointing is that there are no hills so when it snows there is nowhere to slide down on a sledge.
